Terms of Service
Version: 1.0
Last Updated: January 8, 2026
These documents govern the use of Hasher applications and services. They are written to comply with Google Play Store and Apple App Store policies.
1. Introduction
Hasher is a privacy-focused communication application designed to provide secure messaging and calling services using end-to-end encryption.
By accessing or using Hasher, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms").
If you do not agree, do not use the application.
2. Eligibility & Lawful Use
You must use Hasher only for lawful purposes.
You agree not to use Hasher to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Distribute illegal content
- Harass, threaten, or exploit others
- Attempt to compromise or abuse the service
Hasher does not monitor message content and cannot recover encrypted data.
3. Account & Device Use
Hasher accounts are accessed using cryptographic credentials.
Each account supports one active device key at a time.
Device access is enforced using cryptographic device keys generated on the user's device.
Biometric unlock is optional. Authentication is handled by the device operating system, and Hasher does not receive or store biometric identifiers.
Hasher does not rely on hardware fingerprinting or persistent device identifiers.
Rebinding a device key requires explicit user action and (if enabled) recovery verification.
Users are responsible for securing their credentials and devices.
4. Recovery Options
Hasher uses end-to-end encryption with client-side key generation.
Recovery is optional. If you do not enable it and lose your decryptor or device keys:
- Your messages cannot be recovered
- Your account cannot be rebound
- Hasher cannot assist with recovery
If you enable recovery, we store only hashed answers + decryptor to allow rebinding.
5. Payments & Subscriptions
Payments and subscriptions are managed externally via Hasher's official website.
The Hasher app itself:
- Does not process payments
- Does not display pricing
- Does not accept in-app purchases
Subscription status is verified cryptographically by the server.
6. Service Availability
Hasher is provided "as is" and "as available".
We do not guarantee uninterrupted service or availability.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service for maintenance, security, or legal reasons.
7. Limitation of Liability
Hasher and its developers shall not be liable for:
- Loss of encrypted data
- Loss of access due to forgotten credentials
- Device loss or compromise
- Indirect or consequential damages
Use of Hasher is at your own risk.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the service if these Terms are violated or if required by law.
9. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India.
